There are many different views on whether global warming is actually real or not and possible catastrophic damage it causes. It is a big issue in politics now, everyone is arguing whether or not it is actually real or that it is just a weather pattern. People need to wake up and realize that it is real, just look at the shorter winters and the warmer weather. The Glaciers are melting, crazy weather patterns are happening, so what else could it be? We have more things to worry about as a government though.
There are all kinds of facts on whether or not Global Warming is real, but Its doesn’t take a rocket scientist to realize that the planet is warming. “The year 2012 ranked as the eighth-warmest year on record, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). The ranking was based on global surface temperatures from January to November. All 10 of the warmest years on record have occurred since 1998. December 2012 was the 34th straight month with temperatures above their average in the 1900’s.” (Back In Time.) After reading something like this how can you not say that global warming is real, obviously the facts about it are there. People say that it isn't warming because of past weather patterns but in the last 15 years, the top 10 warmest years have been recorded and yeah maybe it is just a weather pattern, but in the pattern the temperatures are getting warmer.
“The temperatures on this planet have always fluctuated naturally on this planet. Looking back over the past 100 years, the earth warmed from 1900 to around 1940. There was global cooling after that until the late 1970’s.” (Scherer 20) The people who say this do not understand that there are weather patterns, but the pattern that is going on now...

...iously global warming is real. The people that say that is isn't real need to realize, the yes there are weather patterns, but when the patterns get to the warm parts of the pattern, they are gonna be warmer than they ever were before. Yes there will be stretches of cold weather but it wont ever be as cold or as long as it was before. So people need to realize, whether they like it or not, global warming is real.

Essay on Global Warming: Is it a Real Problem?

- Think of a person riding downhill on a bicycle that has no brake on the wheels, and who knows that there is a large glass plate placed vertically somewhere across the way. The person is sensible enough to predict that if he continues to enjoy this ever accelerating ride, he is going to collide against the invisible glass plate in a short interval. But he is so deeply content on this ride that even after the knowledge of a certain accident ahead unless he jumps out of the bicycle, he is willing to go a bit farther for his personal fulfillment....   [tags: Environment, Global Warming, Carbon Dioxide]

Rarely do people realize the reality of climate change is in fact one of the biggest issues we face today. Humankind’s activities are altering the world’s climate. Essay on Global Warming is Real

- When thinking of global warming, one could picture a line of dominos. Imagine if someone had knocked over just one domino, what would happen to the rest of the dominos in the line. The others would follow. Global warming can be compared to dominos in that both cause a chain reaction. Carbon dioxide could very well represent the first domino since it is carbon dioxide that creates the blanket-like effect of CO2 in the atmosphere. This blanket effect sets the other dominos in motion. The main purpose of a blanket is to keep things warm....   [tags: Greenhouse Effect Climate Change]

Pollution Essay: Global Warming is Real

- There is a problem, one which we cannot ignore. We must recognize this as a first step in coming up with solutions and bringing about change. Still, there are entities masquerading behind false pretenses that cultivate climate skepticism. Climate skepticism is a propaganda which states that global warming is nothing but natural, and that the human race has nothing to do with it whatsoever. They try to prove using elaborate schemes that climate change is a scam, and discredit with bogus scientific findings those which are true and verifiable discoveries....   [tags: Climate Change Environment]

Essay about Global Warming : The Global Problem

- The Global Warming Quandary The debate on global warming continues even though overwhelming scientific evidence has been supported that this is indeed a problem the world faces. Scientists have shown that global warming is at its “tipping point” and yet the world governments make no solid effort in claiming that the Earth is facing such a vulnerability. In today’s world, there appears to be a battle raging between global warming alarmists and global warming skeptics. This prevents cooperation on the issue and halts real progress to reduce or reverse global warming....   [tags: Global warming, Carbon dioxide]
